In 2025, Can Do MS launched a new series on estate planning. The first two events covered wills, trusts, and how to support Can Do MS by listing us as a beneficiary. This presentation will cover “Special Needs Trusts,” including what a Special Needs Trust is, who needs a Special Needs Trust, how the Trust works, and planning considerations for the Trust. Participants can expect to gain:

– An understanding of how a Special Needs Trust is set up

– How trust funding may or may not impact Social Security and Medicaid

– How a grantor can create a trust for a beneficiary

There are so many ways you can shape your legacy and support the MS community through your estate plans. Whether you’re updating a will, naming Can Do MS as a beneficiary, or exploring gifts that provide income during your lifetime, every step makes a lasting difference.
